Thank You, Surfside!
For me, this year’s Election “Day” lasted 61 hours. And it concluded last night, just before 8:00 p.m., when the Canvassing Board certified my re-election as a Commissioner in the Town of Surfside. I feel a tremendous sense of honor, as well as profound gratitude. When my new term starts on Monday, I will channel those emotions into hard work on behalf of the Town that has, once again, entrusted me with the responsibility of governing.

Three Issues for Surfside
In the run-up to the Commission Candidates' Forum, the League of Women voters asked candidates to submit written answers to two questions. My answer to the first question is in my previous blog post.
In the second question of their questionnaire, the League of Women Voters asks,
What are the three most important issues facing your municipality? For each concern, how do you propose to mitigate/improve/resolve the issue?

Results, Not Chaos: What We Built for Surfside in the Last Two Years
Yesterday morning, in our last official act of the 2024-26 term, Vice Mayor Tina Paul and I helped to re-dedicate Little Bay Park, on the corner of 92nd Street and Bay Drive. The new native-plant garden there has a been a pet project of mine, and seeing it through to completion has been a particular source of satisfaction and pride for me. You can see it in my smile.
